Through this push and pull response to the earth, I conceptually invite the viewer to position themselves where I stand considering their own positionality against the final installation currently located in my garage. The directional positioning of the hand-mined stones in this installation and the construction of an archaeological grid, emphasise the intrinsic relationship between the vertical and horizontal. A furthering of imitation is involved, with the constructed stones which may be interpreted as paralleled bodily forms. The rope diffracts like a wave when the surface is weighed upon by the stones, imitating the notion of time. The durational participation invites audiences to engage in laborious tasks such as walking around the installation or lying underneath the grid while the conceptual merging of boundaries is conceptually realised when relocating the installation from my garage. Enmeshment of poetry and the imagination with the consideration of living between worlds.
